Dissolved gas testers are a class of instrument that play a vital role in health and safety procedures. These instruments work to allow early detection of damage to parts such as oil and insulation components, as well as detecting any faults to these parts or failures of transformers. This is achieved by the instrument measuring the concentrations of any gases present, such as nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, ethylene, carbon monoxide, ethane and methane. If the dissolved gas tester detects a concentration of a gas that differs from the expected level, it could be an indication of an issue which will need to be addressed.
